About Himanshu Nanda

Himanshu Nanda is one of the senior most disciples of legendary Bansuri maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and is the founder of The Mystic Bamboo Academy, Pune, India.

He is a Sangeet Visharad, holds a Master’s Degree in Music and has double degrees in Biology and Education. He has won prestigious awards like “Best Musician”, “Talent of the Year”, “Yuva Pratibha Samman” and the “Sur Mani” title conferred by Mumbai’s Sur Singar Samsad.

He has accompanied his guru on various prestigious occasions and also had solo performances in India, Kenya, South Africa, USA, Sri Lanka, Singapore, France, Indonesia, Dubai, Bahrain, and Japan. Himanshu has been imparting training to sincere seekers of Bansuri through online- and in person through The Mystic Bamboo academy. He is renowned for his interactive lecture demonstrations and innovative workshops.

Himanshu is the brain behind unique music workshops titled“MQ 2 HQ”- Musical Quotient 2 Happiness Quotient, that enables a 360° experience on elements of Music, Rhythm & Meditation. This workshop has reached out to over 12000 people delighting students at both university and school level as well as corporate houses inside and outside India.

With more than a decade of experience as a performer and a teacher in India and around the world, he is all out to share the nuances of bansuri playing to anyone who would like to explore this journey.
